Callwave Offering Free Vtxt

Callwave, a communications business focusing on integrating phone service with computers, has released its beta version of Vtxt. This service is completely free of charge to anyone interested in trying it out during beta testing. You may go here to sign up and give it a try.

The main goal of Vtxt is to make it easier and more convenient to deal with voicemails throughout the day. It does this by using an advanced voice recognition algorithm to analyze incoming voicemails and determine the "gist" of what the message is about. It then displays this as a simple text message, making it a breeze to go through your voicemails and figure out what they are about and prioritize which to respond to.

In addition to receiving the voicemail and text messages on your cell, you can also receive them in your email box. This is very convienient, especially if you don't happen to be near your phone at the time of the message. You are also given a personal web based "phone page," which you can use to organize, listen to, delete, and respond to any and all messages received. The messages are automatically archived for you, and are easily searchable. This allows you to keep records of all messages.

Again, this service is completely free during the beta testing phase, so definately check it out if you find the concept to be interesting at all. You do not need a credit card, nor do you have to change phone numbers or anything like that. The form is very simple to fill out, and only requires basic information, such as your current number and service provider.

Improve Download Speeds

If you find yourself getting slightly annoyed or even frustrated over slow loading web pages and almost stand still downloads, there are a few things you may be able to try in order to speed things up a bit. One of the most obvious, of course, is to directly improve your internet ISP to either a cable or DSL connection. Some people, however, are either unable to upgrade due to regional restrictions or are unwilling to spend the extra cash every month for high speed. For these people, download accelerator software can be a great option. There are a few different software packages out there that will improve download speeds, and most work quite well. One product in particular I have looked at can be found here.

One of the benefits of such software is that you only pay a one time fee, around $35 or so, instead of the extra few dollars per month you'd pay for a DSL hookup. So, in the long run you're saving money. You can also use the software with a high speed internet connection, improving speeds even further, should you ever decide to directly upgrade your connection. The software is compatible with multiple internet browsers including Mozilla Firefox and I.E. Explorer, is fairly easy to use, and has good technical and customer support. Another perk is that it will allow you to resume interrupted or broken downloads, even if your PC crashed while downloading something.

The way the software works is fairly straight forward. It supports HTTP, HTTPS, and FTP, and basically breaks files down into several smaller pieces, and downloads them simultaneously. The effect can be likened to running water through a pipe; only so much can flow through at one time, but if you can add a few more pipes, you can move much more water at a time. That's pretty much the effect this software has. It allows your computer to use its available bandwidth highly efficiently, and can improve download speeds by up to 400% in some cases. Web pages will load much faster as well as basic file downloads.

So, if you're tired of slow loading web pages and would like a simple software solution to improve download speeds, give this download accelerator software a try. It is marketed through clickbank.com and comes with a very lenient 8 week money-back guarantee. So you can try it out for awhile risk-free.

For an extra $14 bucks or so, you can get access to some movie and music downloads as a bonus offer for purchasing the software. You might consider checking out these movie download sites instead however.

Watch Satellite TV On Your PC

Most people are aware that it is possible to watch television channels through their PC by installing additional hardware such as TV cards. However, nowadays it is possible to actually stream channels through your Internet connection thanks to the advent of high speed Internet. All that is required is a simple software utility that allows you to capture and stream actual satellite channel feeds directly through your Internet connection and right to your desktop (or laptop).

These software utilities are quite easy to find and use. They require no additional costs after the one-time download fee and no additional hardware to use. Simply download, install, and start streaming actual satellite channels right on your PC. One thing to keep in mind though, is that even though the software works over slower Internet connection speeds such as dial-up, the quality really does suffer. It is highly recommended that you have a cable or dsl connection as the viewing quality is dramatically better.

Here are a couple versions of the most popular and supported TV to PC software: Satellite TV to PC. The only real difference between these versions is in the total number of channels provided. Most people will find the Elite edition to be more than sufficient, though, if you must have the best, a one time cost of $100 bucks isn't a bad deal for 4k channels. The software will definitely pay for itself within months if you consider the average monthly cost of standard satellite TV or cable TV.

Satellite TV for PC 2007 Titanium: This is the more expensive version of the software, costing about $100 dollars and providing over 4000 channels total.

Satellite TV for PC 2007 Elite: About 1000 channels less than the titanium edition, but at a much more affordable price of only $49.95. Definitely a bargain for access to over 3000 channels. watch satellite tv on your pc

Satellite TV for PC 2007 Professional: This would be considered the budget version I guess. It offers about 2800 channels from around the world at a price of $39.95
